LANSDOWN CROQUET CLUB
The club is situated at the end of Northfields, which is a cul-de-sac off Lansdown Road, just below the Royal High School in Bath. There is a sign for the tennis, squash & croquet club at the junction of Lansdown Road and Northfields.
Currently we are primarily a Golf croquet club, but Association Croquet could be played if enough players wished to do so. We are able to play throughout the year, and every day .
We play throughout the year as we are fortunate enough to have quick-draining lawns and an excellent groundsman. We also have the use of a wonderful clubhouse which we share with the tennis and squash players where we can eat before playing or take tea afterwards.
Our membership has increased considerably over the past year or two, thanks to the Introductory Course organised each spring by our coach Ros Key-Pugh with the support and help of many members. Many of the participants, who hear of the course from friends or read about it in the local press, take up permanent membership and continue to enjoy the game and the social life of the club. We now have 58 playing members aged from 21 to 89, quite a few of whom play more than 3 times a week.
If you are coming to Bath and would like a game, do ring our secretary Jean Eburne (01275 848300) and we will be happy to welcome you at Lansdown
