BEAR OF RODBOROUGH CROQUET CLUB

Situated at the Bear Hotel on Rodborough Common, Stroud, accessed off the A46 going south out of Stroud. From the east take A419 (Stroud) at Cirencester, turn off at Aston Down (airfield on left) for Minchinhampton, straight on across the common and the Bear is on the left.  From the north or southwest, leave M5 at Junction 13, follow A419 towards Stroud, then A46 (Bath). Leave A46 at North Woodchester
up Bear Hill, signposted Rodborough Common. The Bear is at the top.

From the M4 exit at Junction 18 and take the A46 north as far as Nailsworth. Turn right in the centre of Nailsworth up a very steep W bend, then turn left at the T junction on the common. The Bear is on the left as the road starts going downhill again.

The club only has one court which is available for play every day throughout the season by prior arrangement with the hotel. Club night is every Wednesday night but additional coaching for beginners and newcomers can be arranged throughout the season. The club has equipment available for use by beginners.

The club plays in the Federation leagues and arranges internal club competitions. Both Association and Golf Croquet is played.
