BARNSTAPLE BOWLS, CROQUET AND TENNIS CLUB

The club is part of the Barnstaple Bowls, Croquet and Tennis Club, which is situated near the town centre, not far from the A361. Leave the M5 at Junction 27 on to the A361, signposted Tiverton and Barnstaple. Pass Tiverton, and after another 29 miles you go along a straight stretch of road, at the end of which is a roundabout signposted A39 Bideford to the left. Take the RIGHT HAND exit and follow the road, going straight on at the next two roundabouts, passing Tesco and MacDonalds. At the THIRD roundabout take the RIGHT HAND exit, leading on to a short stretch of dual carriageway. Follow this to the roundabout at the end and turn back on yourself, going back on the opposite side of the dual carriageway. At the traffic lights take the slip road to the left and then turn left into Ashleigh Road. The club and car park are immediately on the left. There is ample car parking and bar facilities are available in the clubhouse.

The club has two half size courts. Members play throughout the week but the main club day is Saturday. Newcomers are always welcome and coaching can be arranged for beginners. The club does not currently enter any Federation leagues but organises internal club competitions. The club plays both association and golf croquet.
